Theophany Youth Tee Orthodox Cross Tee

The three-bar Orthodox Cross tells the story of the Crucifixion. The top beam represents the inscription placed above Christ, proclaiming Him “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews.” The center beam is where Christ's hands were nailed, and the lower, angled beam represents the footrest beneath His feet.

The slanted footrest also carries a deeper meaning. One side points upward toward the repentant thief who turned to Christ, while the other points downward toward the thief who rejected Him. It is a reminder of Christ's mercy, judgment, and the choice placed before every person.

For a child, this cross can become more than a design on a shirt. It can become one of their first lessons in Christian symbolism and an opportunity to share their faith when someone asks:

“What does your cross mean?”
